Tips for Power Searches |
|
| When you use keywords in your search, you can refine your search by using more than one keyword. You can also chain them with boolean connectors and a wildcard.
Here is some useful information about how to use boolean connectors: |
|
| AND | |
| If you chain words with the connector AND, the results will display only jobs that contain ALL of the chained keywords. | |
![]() |
|
| OR | |
| If you chain words with the connector OR, the results will display jobs that have ANY of the chained keywords. | |
![]() |
|
| AND NOT | |
| If you chain words with the connector AND NOT, the results will display jobs that contain the first chained keyword but not the second one. | |
![]() |
|
| " " | |
| If you surround a group of keywords with QUOTES the results will display jobs that contain the surrounded keywords exactly as you wrote them.
You can achive the same results by using the "This exact phrase" search box. |
|
![]() |
|
| ( ) | |
| You can use PARENTHESIS to group some chained keywords. A search using a grouped set of keywords operates as if the words in parenthesis were one single keyword.
Using PARENTHESIS can widen or narrow your search results depending of the other boolean connectors used. |
|
![]() |
|
| * | |
| If you use the wildcard * the results will contain ALL jobs that have words which share the same grammatical root. | |
![]() |
